7/8/2018 0 Comments Your righteousnessThe righteousness of the Pharisees was outward, and is not sufficient for entrance into the kingdom of heaven, as Jesus says. Therefore a better, inward righteousness is needed. But when you think on yourself, your heart, your mind, surely you know that it is not within you. See, you have an adversary: your own conscience. So do as Jesus says here: agree with your adversary, and, forsaking your own righteousness, receive in a hearty faith the righteousness given in Baptism and at the Altar, namely, the perfect righteousness of Christ.
