You shall have your mercy
The blind man was confident that he would get his mercy, so he kept on crying for it, even though there were impediments, as they that went before rebuked him. So similar was this cry to the cry of the Canaanite woman, who likewise would not be dissuaded. And so must we be when we cry for mercy, even when it seems no one hears. He hears, and he who went to Jerusalem to suffer and be killed and rose from the dead for us surely hears and will help at last. Sermon for Quinquagesima Sunday. The video is here.
