Tuesday Vespers

The soldiers who mocked Jesus and bent the knee in false adoration nevertheless have provided unwittingly a fine example for us to follow in sincerity: to call him our eternal King, to adorn him in royal garb, to bend the knee, and to worship our dear Christ, who suffered for us and for our salvation.
