St Lucy

St Lucy was martyred for her steadfast adherence to Christ over against the allurements of the world. She refused engagement to a pagan and gave the dowry to the poor. For this she was at length put to death. Thus she is a shining example of Christian fortitude against the world. Sermon for St. Lucy.
