St. Lucy

St. Lucy had opportunity to lead a life of luxury, in Syracuse, Italy; but she wanted instead to be a follower of Christ, in the midst of a corrupt and Christless culture, a society full of fornication and impurity. She followed Christ insetead, even to the point of martyrdom, in the year a.d. 304. Such a shining example of faith and fortitude for us in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation in our day.
