Remember, O Man, Part II

Expanding on the theme laid out this morning: to lay up  treasures on earth is to deny that earth is passing away; let us remember that we are dust and shall return thereto. But let us rejoice meanwhile, for the end of Lent is Easter, the end of Christ's Passion is his Resurrection, and  the end of all earthly sorrow and trouble is, for the Christian, an abiding joy even greater than that of Paradise lost; for the new Paradise is better.
