Only one leper out of ten returns

Nine of ten lepers are pulled away by the wicked priests; a greater loss than even in the case of the Sower, in which case at least a quarter of the seed grew up. Not here: nine of ten are lost, because of their strong sermons.  So today, the priests of wickedness preach strong sermons to pull people away from Christ. There are the priests of Social Justice, who would force you to think and speak by their requirements, against all manner of perceived racism, sexism, homophobia, bigotry. There are the priests of egalitarianism, who in sharp contrast the eighth commandment preach social class envy and seek to bring down all distinctions of all kinds, not only economic, but even between men and women. There are the priests of environmentalism, whose new morality forces people to confess their sins against the creature rather than the Creator who is ever blessed. There are the priests of sexual freedom, who sacrifice their own children on the altars of abortion mills by the thousands daily. But you, like  the one returning leper, have come back to Christ, and bend the knee at the altar and receive him for life and salvation. Sermon for Trinity XIV.
