John confessed

Man is prone to boast, to think of his own accomplishments. But think of John who had the most reason of all to boast, yet he confessed and denied not, but confessed, I am not the Christ. Confession of sin and confession of faith belong together, and when we confess our unworthiness we become fit to confess the worthiness of Christ the Lamb.
