Midweek of Septuagesima

Jesus' parable of the talents is mysterious and difficult to interpret. But pay attention to the numbers. He who had five made five more, he who had two made two more, and he who had one buried it in the ground. Are there not five books of Moses? And when we ruminate thereon, seeking Christ, we shall be blessed, that is, our investment doubled. So also there are two testaments. And when we ruminate also on them, seeking Christ, we shall be also blessed, that is, our investment doubled. But he who had one and buried it, is he not like the enemies of Christ who murdered him and buried him, and never believed when he rose from the dead? So let us find Christ in the Word, and ever be blessed. Sermon for midweek of Septuagesima. The video is here.
