Advent II

Advent is especially as season for preparing for Christ’s return in glory, so we must learn with diligence to watch and be sober over against the world and its wiles. It will not do to suppose this watchfulness could only be once in a while, or half-hearted. For his return is imminent; he already returned once, from the dead; so we know that he will most assuredly come again in glory. Sermon for Advent II.
