Palm Sunday. The Depths of Sin, the Depths of Christ's Love

When Jesus said one of the twelve would betray him, each of them asked, Is it I? -- knowing that each had it within him to so this dreadful thing. But when they became more earnest about their devotion to him,  they still could not withstand the temptation to flee. And even  the holy Peter denied him thrice, and wept bitterly. But let these tears be ours, for we deny him in so many ways. And if this does not convince you of your misery, consider  the depths of his sorrows, without which you could not be saved. But as you ponder his depths, ponder also how deep is his compassion, and rejoice in that. Sermon for Palm Sunday. The video is here.
